the impact of ICT on the society


Nowadays, ICT and computers have become one of the important
because ICT make our life become more easier than before. We can search any information that we want through it easily and more faster. We alos can always connect to everybody that are close to us everytime that we want through it such as an e-mail and messanger.

There are many impact of ICT on our life and the society, which is the positive and negative impact. So, one of the positive impact that we could get is the effective sharing of information. With the advancement of ICT, information can be shared by people all around the world. People can share and exchange opinions, news and information through discussion groups, mailing list and forums on the Internet. This enable knowledge sharing which will contribute to the development of knowledge based society.

Besides that, ICT can make our communication more borderless. Internet offers fast information retrievel, interactivity and accessibility. It has become a borderless sources for services and information. Through the Internet, information and communication can be borderless.

Altough there are many positive impact of ICT on the society, there are still have many negative impact that may cause on our society or our self in daily life. Such as the social problems. Nowadays, people tend to choose online communication rather than having real time conversations. People tend to become more individualistic and introvert.

After that, it may cause the health problems. Computer users are exposed to the harmful of computer effect if they use it for long hours frequently, such as bad posture, eyestrain, physical and mental stress. In order to solve the health problems, an ergonomic environment can be introduced.

Lastly, as a computer and internet users in the ICT world, we should know the impact that may occur to us and should know how to differentiate the advantages and disadvantages of ICT on us to stay safe from any negative things on the internet...
